Attention, in DN40-150, the connecting drilling sizes of flat flanges according to DIN (EN) and GOST for PN10 and PN16 coincide, therefore, a unified series of valves for PN10 and PN16 ABRA A4016 is produced in these DN sizes
In DN200-600 for RN10 we produce the ABRA A 4010 series
The main applications of that type of gate valves are using at steel, cast iron, polyethylene (PE, HDPE), etc. pipelines transporting water and neutral medias. The design of the valve allows it to be used in sewage systems (municipal household sewerage - installation only on vertical pipes). Also, this design can be used on other chemically neutral liquids. Ductile Cast iron NRS resilient gate valves ABRA have excellent chemical resistance to:
water, including HVAC and DHW water, (cold, hot, including domestic drinking, and hot water supply systems), recycled water of heating networks, demineralized, distilled, carbonated water, etc.
standard heat carrier of heating networks (heating systems) based on water
standard antifreezes based on ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, etc.
technical air without oil or with silicone oil only, etc.
Ductile cast iron NRS resilient gate valves ABRA, have face-to-face according to DIN 3202 F4 or F5, excellent lifetime and years checked experience of expluatation all over the world as far as very attrective price for that level of quality.
The valves in production are double quality controlled - after hydraulic tests, they are additionally tested with air.
The low hydraulic resistance of the valves provides excellent hydraulic characteristics.

NRS resilient gate valve is an on-off valve in which the locking element (disk) moves reciprocally perpendicular to the flow direction of the working media
The minimum face-to-face length ensures excellent usability and convenience in commissioning.
The full-bore design allows the use of these valves even in sewer systems on the vertical pipelines.
The design of the wedge gate valve ensures, if necessary, complete disassembly of the valve.
It is obvious that the gate valve with a rubberized disc allows the flow in any direction.

Instructions for installation, installation and operation of a NRS Resilient gate valve with a rubberized wedge ABRA A40
When installing a valve with a rubberized wedge into the dry pipeline, the friction force of rubber on metal does not allow it to be completely closed with reasonable manual efforts. It is necessary to moisten the friction surfaces if you need to close the valve dry. Only water or silicone oils are allowed in minmal posslible amouts to wet the disk and body.
ABRA NRS Resilient gate valve must be used strictly for their intended purpose in accordance with the operating parameters specified in the technical documentation
During operation, commissioning and repair work, valves with a rubberized ABRA wedge are not allowed to be used as a control (regulating, throttle) unit.
For timely detection and troubleshooting, it is necessary to periodically inspect the valve. The inspection is carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted by the company operating the valves.
As necessary, it is recommended:
spray lubricate the threaded part of the spindle with grease (oil mist - soft film which displaces moisture from wet surfaces) according to API RP 686, BS 1133 (6) or NG-203 grade B grease according to GOST (GOST) 12328-77;
tighten the packing if any;
restore the broken paint and varnish protective coating.
All NRS ABRA resilient gate valves parts are interchangeable. It is only not recommended to turn the wedge with sealing surfaces in order to avoid loss of tightness.
The NRS resilient gate valve ABRA during operation must be opened fully to the upper stop and tightly closed manually
Safety.
The installation, operation and maintenance of NRS resilient gate valves ABRA is allowed only to personnel who have received appropriate training in the field of valves, safety regulations, requirements of this technical description, and have skills in working with on-off valves.
Maintenance personnel performing comissioning, disassembly, assembly and repair ABRA rubberized wedge valves must use a serviceable tool, have personal safety equipment and fulfill fire safety requirements.
To ensure the safe operation of a NRS resilient gate valves it is strictly prohibited:
to use ABRA NRS gate valves for operating parameters exceeding those specified in this technical description;
using of NRS ABRA resilient gate valves in the absence of operational documentation;
to perform pressure testing of the pipeline with a pressure higher than the nominal working one;
disassemble the valve which is under pressure (has a presuure inside);
it is recommended to install a strainer before the valve in the direction of the flow.
In order to avoid injuries, equipment malfunctions, falls, bumps and other damages, it is forbidden to lift the valves with a rubberized wedge by the handwheel, actuator or gearbox.
Installation procedure
Mounting and comissioning
Before installation, it is necessary:
to clean (purge) pipelines from dirt, sand, scale;
to perform deconservation, remove the plugs from the passageways, remove anticorrosive grease from the main passages.
For ease of maintenance and inspection, as well as to ensure the best flushing of dirt from under the valve wedge when closing, ABRA NRS resilient rubberized wedge gate valves should be installed in the following operating positions (orientations) only:
vertical - on horizontal and inclined pipes - (when the handwheel is on top),
With a decrease in the fixing load in the flange connection as a result of relaxation in the gasket or fastener, or in cases where the technological process is pronounced cyclic in temperature or pressure, additional tightening of the connection may be necessary some time after the start of operation or, in particularly difficult cases, a complete re-set of fasteners with powerful poppet spring washers.
Mounting and comissioning with electrical actuator
Features of installation of gate valves with electrical actuator
Before installing the valve in the pipeline, it is necessary to configure the actuator and the valve to work together in accordance with the instructions of the electric drive manufacturer:
check the installation or mount the actuator with a valve;
when installing a valve with an actuator in any position other than vertical, the actuator must have its own supports;
installation of the actuator under the gate valve is strictly not recommended;
set the limit switches and torque limits for the "open" and "closed" positions when the disc and seat are coated with silicone grease in order to avoid "dry" operation;
perform several cycles of trial opening and closing of the valve using a manual doubler;
if the valve opens and closes normally when opened from a manual doubler, connect to the power circuts and control networks and perform several trial opening and closing cycles using an electric drive.
Only after performing these operations, if the valve with the actuator is functioning normally, it is allowed to proceed with the installation of the valve on the pipeline.
Storage.
Prior to installation, NRS ABRA resilient gate valves must be stored in warehouses or under a canopy, protecting them from pollution and precipitation, UV radiation and sunlight, ensuring the safety of the packaging, the serviceability of the valve during the warranty period.
During long-term storage (more than 6 months from the date of manufacture), ABRA NRS rubberized wedge resilient gate valves must be periodically (at least 2 times a year) inspected, and external dirt and rust should be removed.
The pass of ABRA NRS rubberized wedge resilient gate valves must be closed with security plugs, which must be removed before installation.
During storage, the vertical position (stand up) of ABRA NRS rubberized wedge resilient gate valves is recommended with the handwheel removed.
Transportation.
Storage and transportation should be carried out without shock loads at a temperature of -40 ... +65 ° C.
Transportation and storage conditions - closed rooms with clean, dry air in the absence of UV radiation and sunlight.
ABRA NRS rubberized wedge resilient gate valves must be transported in a strong wooden or similar container that provides stability when tilted up to 45 degrees (50% of the slope) and are released from possible movements. Transportation is fulfilled with a wedge closed manually to the stop, but not tightened (we remind you that this type of valves does not close "dry" at all).
Careful transportation is allowed without packaging, on pallets, while it is recommended to remove the flywheel in order to avoid breakage and it is forbidden to put the load on top of the gate valve.
During lifting, loading and unloading, the ABRA NRS rubberized wedge resilient gate valves be in a horizontal position to avoid damage.
Regular maintenance
Periodically, at least once a month, to carry out monitoring in working condition:
