Thread description for check valve ABRA-D12:

Name:

Ordinary european pipe thread:

Parallel pipe thread is used in parallel thread connections and also in connections of Female parallel thread to proper Male taper (conical) thread

The thread is based at BSW (British Standard Whitworth) and fit to BSP (British standard pipe thread) named BSPP.

Standards for reusable connections
  • ISO R228
  • EN 10226
  • DIN 259
  • BS 2779
  • JIS B 0202
  • GOST 6357-81
Abbreviation for appropriate Male reusable thread
  1. G, male, external - main abbreviation
  2. BSPP, male, external - often abbreviation
  3. BSP male, external - often, but not correct abbreviation (presumes BSPP, but you better check that it is not BSPT)
  4. PF, male, external - Japan JIS rare abbreviation
Abbreviation for appropriate Male nonreusable thread
  1. R, male, external - main abbreviation
  2. BSPT, male, external - often abbreviation
  3. PT, male, external - Japan JIS rare abbreviation

Installation and maintenance instruction for check valve ABRA-D12

  1. General.
    • All work must be carried out or be supervised by a suitably competent person. Installation and operating personnel should be trained in the correct use of the product according to the Installation and Maintenance Instructions. Where a formal 'permit to work' system is in force it must be complied with. Where there is no such system, it is recommended that a responsible person should know what work is going on and, where necessary, arrange to have an assistant whose primary responsibility is safety. Post 'warning notices' if necessary.
    • Before mounting you should check the valve for transportation or storage damage.  If you find that you should stop mounting until you get Seller's approval.
  2. Mounting.
    • You should obligatory follow "General Installation and Commissioning demands"
    • Check valves are not deisgned and should not ever be used as shut-of valve. Lakage rate - rate АА accoding ISO 5208 nad GOST54808 and GOST 9544
    • Disc check valves are not suitable for use where heavily pulsating flow exists, such as close to a compressor.
    • Delete plastic plugs before mounting. Determine the correct installation situation and the direction of fluid flow.
    • Check materials, pressure and temperature and their maximum values. If the maximum operating limit of the product is lower than that of the system in which it is being fitted, ensure that a safety device is included in the system to prevent overpressurisation.
    • Before filling the pipeline, it is necessary to blow it out to remove scale and dirt.
    • The valve can be mounted on the vertical, inclined and horizontal pipelines. It is required to ensure sufficient space around the check valve for future service work if that will be ever necessary.
    • The flow should be directed according the arrow on the valve body.
    • After starting the system, make sure that there are no leaks in the assembly.
    • Don't forget to check for leakage after several hours of operation.
  3. Maintenance.
    • Check valves ABRA-D12 do not require constant maintenance. Parts are insoluble in aquatic media.
    • Periodically inspect the valve for fluid leaks.
    • Provision must be made to protect products which are not self-draining against frost damage in environments where they may be exposed to temperatures below freezing point.
    • Valve check out can be carried out when replacing pipelines.
      Attention!
    • Do not touch the working surfaces due to the fact that they could be very hot.
    • Before starting maintenance, make sure that the valve is not under pressure and does not have high temperature.
    • Do not remove the label with the marking from the valve.
    • Valves should be checked for leakages on the regular basis, espesially is they are not constanly in operation.
  4. Transportation and Storage.
    • Storage and transportation should be without shocks at temperature range: -60…+65 °С.
    • No parts or objects are allowed to be placed into check valve ABRA-D12
    • The valve should be kept in clean and weatherproof placements.
    • During transportation check valve ABRA-D12 should be properly protected from damage.
  5. Guarantee.
    • Guarantee is 12 month from installation but not more than 18 month from shipment if all demands of this manual are fulfilled.
    • Customers and stockists are reminded that under EC Health, Safety and Environment Law, when returning products to ABRA they must provide information on any hazards and the precautions to be taken due to contamination residues or mechanical damage which may present a health, safety or environmental risk. This information must be provided in writing including Health and Safety data sheets relating to any substances identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous.
